Ready or not, fall is here! I'm not ready for it, but my house sure is :) Today I'm sharing my living room all decorated for fall. This tour is apart of a blog hop hosted by Heidi from Honey Bear Lane. If you are following the hop and came from The Ginger Home, welcome! And obviously "welcome" to everyone else too :) To continue on the hop or to see some more beautiful fall inspiration, be sure to check out all the links at the bottom of this post!

I didn't change too much in here from my late summer tour since I was pretty happy with everything. But, of course, I added some fall touches in the form of pumpkins and faux wheat. When I bought this ottoman, my mom said, "That's perfect for fall! Looks like a pumpkin!" haha. I seriously have a problem looking at it differently ever since. So, I guess it fits in this tour perfectly well :)

My main changes came from switching up things on all the tabletops. I added this tin full of pumpkins to my apothecary cabinet. You would be amazed at how often this stuff does not fall over. I have two kids and a dog, and the culprit at knocking stuff over on this is my husband. Figures :)

Most of the changes in this room happened around my fireplace. I added the pumpkins to this cute stool I found on clearance a few weeks ago.

I changed up my mantel by switching out my white cathedral window for this wood one from Kirklands. I added some faux wheat sprigs along my birch branch and topped off the mantel with some white pumpkins.

The wood on the right has been a mainstay here for awhile and I have no desire to change it up. I feel like having both of the bookshelves completely full would cause too much chaos. So, even though I play around with the left side, I don't usually touch the wood :) Maybe one of these days I'll switch it back to all books.

I've been loving the leathers and blues in here lately, so I kept with the theme. This is waaaaay different than my normal decor of neutrals, but I love it. I still love this new rug too! It brighten the space up a ton and just offers a little different direction in my decor.

Here's a good view of my pumpkin....err...ottoman ;) I had this in my Amazon cart for months! I wish I had bought it sooner, I love the contrast it adds in here.

This little corner is actually my kids play corner. You can't tell, but there's a hot mess behind this couch! I do like to try to keep the top of this cabinet pretty though. I tied in the white pumpkins and wheat over here with the terracotta pots from my dining room.

I kept the styling simple on my big ottoman and tray. I made these curly stem pumpkins years ago, and they come out every fall looking as good as ever! They are my favorite decor piece for fall by a long shot!

Here's a wider view of this space. It's still weird to look at it with color. I know....there's not much color, but trust me, this is A LOT compared to what I'm use to!

The best thing about fall are the scents, like fresh baked pumpkin cookies! If only you guys good smell this space right now, it's like walking into a loaf of spicy pumpkin bread. I'm using my fave no wax, no heat method to fragrance my living room (you can see more here), and the scent is Rustic SpiceAlso, if you haven't checked out my giveaway yet, check it out here!

What if I told you there was a way to scent your home without the use of flame, hot wax, or harmful chemicals and air fresheners? I know. You would think I lost it. Or maybe that I'm doing essential oils now, but guess what?! Not that either!

So, let me back up. I was touring the Parade of Homes last year and kept going into houses that smelled absolutely amazing. Like, yeah-I'm-just-going-to-plop-on-this-bed-for-awhile-and-I-don't-even-care-that-it's-corded-off-and-has-a-do-not-touch-sign-on-it type of amazing.  The scents were pleasant and not over powering. I was looking through the rooms and couldn't figure out how they got these smells in there. I was seriously thinking it was some weird new way through the vents. I didn't see any candles, wax melters, or diffusers. I found out that the amazing fragrances were coming out of this little device here:

How to make your home smell good. Add scent into your home without flames, hot wax, or water! Safe and easy home fragrance ideas. MojiAir and AirMoji unboxing. What is the AirMoji? Safe, long lasting scents.

It's called the AirMoji. So, how the heck do they do it? Right? It's through a little fan in the bottom! I was sold. No flame....no fear of burning my house down. No wax...no fear of my kids dumping hot wax all over themselves or the carpet (again)...or let's be real, me dumping it all over my blankets over and over lol. No cord...Yep. No cord! This thing is chargeable and portable. I can seriously stick my figure in the middle, which you know any kid is going to do, and nothing happens! (don't believe me, watch the video at the end of the post!). I shook this thing and it's been bumped off my dresser more than once and still works and keeps going! And best yet, it didn't leave a big oil stain either.

So, I bought one, because obviously I had to. I've had mine for a year and my house has never smelled better. The scents in here are LONG LASTING! When I say that, I mean it. I run mine about 10-12 hours a day, and the scent fills my entire great room for about 2 weeks (I tend to lean toward the stronger scents). I then move them into a smaller space, like my bedroom or front room and they push about another week. It's amazing. The scents are hypoallergenic, cruelty free, paraben free, soy free, gluten free, phthalate free and non-toxic. They come in these little pods which are pressed wood discs saturated in the fragrance oil or essential oil:

How to make your home smell good. Add scent into your home without flames, hot wax, or water! Safe and easy home fragrance ideas. MojiAir and AirMoji unboxing. What is the AirMoji? Safe, long lasting scents.

My fave part about it? Well, besides the obvious from above. It's immediate fragrance. Like, I turn it on, and boom! You can smell that! It's the best for parties. I have a knack for forgetting to turn on my wax warmer the needed half hour before people were going to show...you know, cuz you have to wait for it heat up and then wait for the wax to melt... For this? I don't have to worry, I can turn it on when the first person walks through the door. Better yet....why not just program it to turn on? Yep. Heard me right. It's programmable to turn on and off via bluetooth. You decide when it happens with a free app!

Okay. So, why am I sharing this all with you? You can obviously tell that I love this little device. I've used it literally every day for the past year. I feel like there are multiple layers to an inviting home. First is to have it beautiful, well decorated, and clean! Second is for it to smell oh so amazing. Your nose smells before you eyes see! Have you ever went up to someone's door and they open it and the best smell comes pouring through? It's like heaven! And opposite ...the smell comes pouring through like cat pee or vomit and makes you go running for the hills? That house can be so pretty, but if it stinks...it stanks.

So, let's talk about the deets and then you can join the giveaway to get one for yourself along with my favorite scent, Serendipity!

How to make your home smell good. Add scent into your home without flames, hot wax, or water! Safe and easy home fragrance ideas. MojiAir and AirMoji unboxing. What is the AirMoji? Safe, long lasting scents.

AirMoji's are environmentally friendly. The pods are made from biodegradable materials. These wood fiber cores are filled with 100% essentials oils (yes, they can be diffused by air!) or the MojiLife fragrance of your choice, with over 40 to pick from. The oils are manufactured in Europe using stricter standards than the United States. And as I mentioned above, they are hypoallergenic (the best for my family and their crazy allergies!), non-toxic, gluten-free and soy-free.

How many square feet does the AirMoji cover?

For me, it's about 800 square feet. That's my dining room, living room, and kitchen. The taller the ceilings, the less space. This also depends on the strength of the scent you choose. You can easily use just one AirMoji in a small single room space, or if you have a larger space, use two to get more scent going.

So, how much are these amazing things?

The actual AirMoji device is $49.95, and it comes in either black or white. The fragrance pods are $6.50 each, and the essential oils/blends start at $10.75.

What about the scents?

There are over 40 fragrances to choose from. I have about 15 favorites, but my absolute best three are:

Serendipity- it's like pouring almond extract all over your home. Might sound weird, but I'm not going to lie, I've thought about doing it.

Lotus Petals and Bamboo -this is not your grandma's floral. It has a great citrus note to it at the beginning and is just a great fresh scent.
Tahitian Sunset -this one will take you back to vacation with all the tropical fruits!

Other popular ones:

Sweet Lemon-think about drinking sweet lemon tea out on your porch during those hot summer nights.
Pastry Shop -it will literally smell like you are baking vanilla cupcakes.
Spring Breeze -make people believe that you are actually caught up on laundry!
Sweet Pea -this just brings me back to the high school hallway.

Seasonal Scents:

Sugared Pumpkin -pretend you just baked some pumpkin pie!
Rustic Spice -my fall fave, smells like walking into a craft store with all their spiced pine cones during the holidays.

How do you buy them?

You can purchase them from my shop page. Don't forget to check out the specials page where you can get a discount on bundles! And don't miss the home decor line! Since these are portable, you can hide them in beautiful vases!

It pains me to even write that title. Can someone tell me how in the heck did summer go by so fast? Am I the only one trying to hold on to every ounce of summer or feels like they are betraying summer for putting out fall decor? I'm just not ready...but the weather sure is! It's a high of 60 degrees here today. This was our low 4 days ago. When it's ready to be fall, I guess it's ready to be fall! :) Can't stop it.

This tour is going to be the first of a few fall tours I'll be sharing with you this year. I have a video tour of this room and my process on behind decorating it at the bottom of the post, so be sure to check it out :) This tour is a part of many tours going on this week hosted by Marty from a Stroll Thru Life. If you are making your way through the tours, and have come from Sarah's blog Life on Virginia Street, welcome! If you just landed here as one of my normal readers, be sure to check out all the other tours for some amazing fall inspiration. I have all the links to them at the bottom of this post.

So, it's obvious from my beginning paragraph that I am so not ready for fall decor. It really pained me to bring out my pumpkins. But, in a small way, it was welcomed. My decor in most of my rooms have been the same since spring with small changes for summer. It was ready to be freshened up a bit.

For the theme in my dining room decor this fall, I went with neutrals and greens. I feel like that was my theme for the past year with everything :) ....But! I actually did add some color in my living room and my front living room. So, I did branch out a bit in those rooms. #shocker

In my dining room, I started off with decorating my tablescape. Pumpkins, of course, are a mainstay in here for fall. I used lots of heights starting with the large lantern and going down to the pumpkins on the plant stands and then lastly to the faux greens in the aged terracotta pots. (was that a long sentence or what?! ha! :) )

I'm not one to really set the table for anything. I feel like having it like this everyday just makes it feel cluttered. We use this table for everything....work, homework, crafts, coloring, eating (obviously). But, I do like the way it looks when it's all set! It's just not really functional for us :) I bet if I had a formal dining room dedicated to using it just on special occasions, I would be all about the place settings!

For the place setting, I used a charger I found from Kirklands, added my go-to plate that was passed down to me from my mother-in-law. I then sandwiched a napkin in between the plate and a square/round bowl. In the bowl I added a little pumpkin with a pine cone and farmhouse beads. If I were to host Thanksgiving dinner, maybe I would use the place settings. How about you, are a you place settings type person? Or more casual? For me? I'm all for easy and using paper plates! haha.

My favorite way to set the table is in a tiered style, higher on top and then going down in the middle. I'm definitely more of a symmetrical decorator :) Here's a wider view of the whole tablescape.

For the buffet, I did change this up a bit. I moved my larger breadboard off and placed this cute sign from Kirklands.

The opposite wall houses more of my mugs. I kept the theme going by draping some greenery over the wire cup rack. And one of these days I'm going to change out that chandelier for the beaded one I bought a year ago. Yeah. You read that right. I forget about it, then I have a tour and remember how I need to change it. One would think I would have changed it that same day...but alas, my husband thinks it looks like a taxi driver's beaded seat cover (insert eye roll here). So, he's obviously not thrilled on helping me install it.  Maybe...just maybe for Christmas I'll have it in here :)

To finish up, here's a full view of this room. I just love this table, it seats 8/9 people easily and even extends to add two more! And to think at one time (years ago), I wanted to get rid of it or paint it! I'm so glad I came to my senses.
